Walking through long grass on Norfolk is very different from the same activity on Australia – there are no snakes!
During 2006, exotic lizards were identified in various areas of the Island, posing a real environmental threat to the Island’s biota. The Society sponsored a visit by a team of professional herpetologists who tracked down populations of geckos and skinks and gave advice to the governments and property managers on ways to eradicate them and to monitor for further outbreaks.
